As a recent graduate of Solent University, it was exciting to be invited as a now business owner and blogger to the launch and opening of their new Conference Centre! There were lots of fun activities.....
Having been in the University as a student for 3 years, it's exciting to see new developments and new ways of teaching being introduced. The new Spark Conference Centre has a wide range of tech-savvy rooms with cool interactive features. I was lucky enough to go to the official launch party with some fellow business partners and of course the Southampton Bloggers girlies!
We were greeted with a cold glass of champagne and some lovely nibbles (the salmon was the best!) and took the time to say hello to everyone and meet some new people. There was also a Gordon Ramsay Look-a-like! The food was served as a sit down meal in the wonderful ground floor of the building underneath the Spark, with a picnic bench of treats for starters, chicken with beetroot and salad for main and raspberry mousse for dessert! There was also a healthy supply of wine... no complaints! After dinner there was a fun raffle as well as a house live band, then we were let loose into the numerous themed rooms! A sweet cart, circus room (where i happily got flowers and tones of glitter on my face) as well as a Speakeasy 30's themed bar and many more!
The space is so beautiful and would be so nice to work in for any meetings or events!!
