Makeup With Models Own

I knew the beauty brand Models Own very well for their nail polish, but never really knew what else they sold. After seeing they were at the Clothes Show i had a good look around the stall and snooped their Instagram and saw there was a lot more that I liked. Models own were kind enough to send me a few bits to try out and also some things to giveaway to you guys, so you can try the new products too!

My skincare and makeup routine roughly goes the same every day, primer, foundation, eyebrows, eyes, contour, highlight. I like to try out different products to mix it up a little. I always prime my face before putting anything else on as i think it helps set the makeup better when it's all done. The Models Own Face Base Mattifying Primer goes on really smoothly and feels soft on your skin. My foundation went on fine over the top and it helped it to blend into my skin more evenly.

I definitely didnt know how dreamy the eyeshadow palettes were and this one is prefect for the way i do my eyes every day. I like to use nude colours with a bit of glitter or sparkle so that it's not too in your face but has some girly shimmer. The nude and glitter palette in 'Barely There' is so so pretty and Has some great base colours that you can mix and match as well as defining the eyes with the glitter and brown tones. I use the larger end of the brush to apply the base colours for example 'Secret' and then use 'Buff' in the inner crease and 'Birthday Suit' in the middle to outer eyelid.

Normally for highlighters i use something liquid or possibly a mouse as i like the way they look deey, i didn't expect that could come from a podwer one. Until I tried this! The pinky/lilacy/silver colour of this Sculpt & Glow Highlighting Powder is super complimenting and catches the light really well. I wore it to a Christmas party a few nights ago and most of the girls commented asking where i got my illuminated cheekbones from! I think this will last as well as you only need a small amount for a shining effect. Big Reccomend.

Last but not least is the LIX Matte Liquid Lipstick in Strawberry Mojito, a beautifully playful red that smooths on super easy and lasts really well. This is a pretty strong colour for the daytime but who cares! It's daring and bold and deserves to be worn.
