My New Skincare Routine

I never have had much luck with my skin, and to this day it remains something troublesome. I have bouts of bad acne and it only seems to stay good for a week or so before bouncing back into something I would love to hide from the world. I know there are people with it much worse than me but it never does make it easier when I wake up with another mountain on my face before an event or a night out with the girls.

To treat the acne and what's going on inside my skin, it is increasingly obvious I need to opt for the medical route, but that doesn't stop me trying to improve what is surface level. I have got into a little routine with certain products and I thought I would share it with you!

Removing Makeup

I used to literally just take my makeup off with a wipe and then be done with it, but after seeing so many people with long skincare routines and glowing skin I decided it might be time to put some effort in. I use the L'Oreal Fine Flowers Milk Cleanser to take off my makeup with cotton pads as much as I can but it does leave some still on or in my skin.

Step 2 is to use cotton pads again, this time with a Pixi Retinol Tonic as these have been the height of talk for a while. It removes the rest of the makeup even when you think there is none left!

Step 3 is using the Tropic Skincare Mango Scented Face Scrub (all with natural ingredients) to exfoliate and just remove anything else on my skin. I also use this in the morning in the shower to wash the sleep off my face!!

The final step is to apply the Tropic Skincare Blue Lagoon serum, a little on the pricier side but again full of natural ingredients and is well known for preventing breakouts. I've been using it for a few weeks now and it does seem to make it a little better!

I also add a little of the Elizabeth Arden Anti-Ageing eye cream to soften my under eye and plump it up a little. After all prevention is the best cure right ......

Mornings

As mentioned, I use the Tropic face wash in the shower to scrub my face, and it also moisturises so leaves a soft texture to the skin as well.

Before applying my makeup, I spritz my face with the Tropic (I promise this post is not sponsored) Vitamin Toner, in a little spray bottle, with about 5-6 pumps all over my face.

After that has dried and a little flapping to help it dry with my hands, I then apply my go-to cream. The Regenere3D cream is something I have talked about a LOT but it really is amazing, made with active plant stem cells and really just a saviour with SO much moisture.

Make up on top and that's my morning skincare!

Extras

Again another Tropic product I have been loving (and recommended to SO many people, trust me if I got commission I'd be a millionaire) is the Tropic Blemish Fighting Mask and I promise it does what it says on the tub. It helps to reduce spots, clear skin and it feels so good when it dries!!! You can also leave it on certain spots overnight and by the morning they will have reduced at least by half!

What are your favourite skincare products that you live by? I'd love to explore more options!!
