Eating out is becoming increasingly difficult with so many great restaurants opening, but one of my favourites will always be Turtle Bay. With such a great range of food so different to anywhere else, and cocktails that never disappoint, come and see what I had at Turtle Bay Southampton this weekend! .....
On Friday night I took my bestie to go and try some of the beautiful food at Turtle Bay Southampton, and enjoy a couple of cocktails at the same time! Located in Guildhall Square, TB is part of the party in town in the midst of clubs, bars and restaurants. We started off with the Passion Rum Punch cocktail, which was so fruity and yummy and waited for our starters. Arriving at our table was the Sweet Corn Fritters, Garlic 'n' Herb Flatbread and the Duck Roll. Daniella isn't a huge fan of spice, and i love spice, so it was interesting to taste each one and see the different reactions! I thoroughly enjoyed the Duck roll and Fritters as these had a bit of spice to them, the fritters mostly, and D liked the flatbread which had little to no spice. We then went for a second cocktail, this tim the Caribbean Pimms, the classic drink with a TB twist, fruity and tasting of holiday! For our mains, I had the Jerk Salmon as this had spicy Jerk Sauce and D went for the Jerk Chicken, except with the sauce on the side (as thats the bit not for the faint hearted!). I chose sweet potato mash as my side and D had sweet potato fries (which are amazing btw) and we super enjoyed all of it! My pan seared salmon was cooked lightly so still had loads of flavour and the mash was a great addition.
We then decided to have a third cocktail, but i warn you, this one is for those who dare!! The Tingwray is pretty much just Wray % Nephews with Ting, and yes that's the alcohol that you use to breathe fire!! Although it's still extremely yummy mind. With our bellies almost bursting we went for deserts to share, the Banana & Toffee Cheesecake and the Dark Chocolate Brownie, both presented picture perfect and we couldn't help but eat all of it of course! Decadent deserts were such a great treat and these were so so yummy, the warm brownie matched with the ice cream and the tasty cheesecake I would 100% recommend!.
Thankyou Turtle Bay for such a yummy evening and all the staff were so helpful with our choices! My new favourite on the menu is definitely the Salmon!!!
