An Evening at All Bar One

I've seen All Bar One floating around for a while but never actually been. London, Brighton and Portsmouth among many more. But I always saw it as more of a pub rather than somewhere I would choose to chill out or go for dinner. That's when I got invited down to try some of the food for myself, as the new venue in Southampton is officially up and running and all settled in. So I took one of my friends with me and we decided to try out the food to see what it's really like. 

   

For starters, we went for the Chorizo and Halloumi Skewers as well as the Feta & Spinach Bourek and Buttermilk Chicken Wings. The feta parcels were super hot (heat) but too tasty I couldn't put them down. The flavour was amazing and they were the perfect match of soft cheese and crispy parcel. The Chorizo skewers were full of flavour also, and the meat and cheese went so well together. The wings had great spice and these three dishes were a good selection to start. 

Then onto mains and I was more excited as I had tasted the food quality. I ordered the duck salad and my friend had the Chicken Katsu. Both came out looking like plates made up well and it's definitely worth the money! The Duck salad was crispy, tasty and had the perfect ratio of salad to meat. I'm a huge fan of duck and this came out crispy but moist too, it wasnt too heavy. The salad was absolutely huge and there was no way I could finish it! But I'm not complaining. There's a good quality and quantity without compromising on the price. 

The Katsu went down a street and I tried some, if I could have ordered two meals I would have! The rose wine also washed everything down a treat and my mind has well and truly been changed and the food was way better than I expected and I would definitely visit again. There's no fuss, no mess, and the menu has such a large choice that no matter what you fancy, there's something for everyone.

Thankyou so much to All Bar One in Southampton for having me and I will be back. It's comfortable and the food is great so it's a win for me!
