*Morning GRWM with Estée Lauder

Fun fact, Estée Lauder Double Wear was the first foundation my mum let me buy and wear at 16 years old. It was the one she used and I had always seen her use, as well as the YSL Touche Éclat concealer she swore by. There are certain things you remember about your loved ones and little things they have or do that reminds you of them. Luckily this is also one I can incorporate into my routine. I hadn't used Estée Lauder as a brand for quite a while now. During lockdown I switched most of the makeup I was using to relatively cheap stuff because although I was still putting it on every now and then, there was no point in using nice products when I quite literally wasn't leaving the house.

It took me a long time to get back into the whole mindset of 'getting ready' and enjoying it after coming out of lockdown, and even though we are a couple of years on now, it still hasn't quite got back to the level of enjoyment it had before I realised how much I liked not wearing it. I am gradually changing the way I see makeup, and instead of trying to follow all of these trends that people with patience and barbie faces can seem to do right every single time, to the classic look that I can do in 10 minutes just with a few tweaks depending on the event.

When I received the email asking me if I would like to try the Estée Lauder press package with my hero product Double Wear and some extras including concealer and some of their skincare, obviously I said YES. I popped into my local beauty counter to make sure I knew the right shades and the experience I had just made me even more excited to be involved with the brand It was basically a mini spa day with some great tips and tricks included and some amazing samples. For a fun day out head to your local beauty counter haha!

Let's take a look at the products:

Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation SPF10 worth £38.50 - 2N1 Desert Beige

Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Flawless Wear Concealer worth £28.00 - 2C

Estée Lauder Futurist Aqua Brilliance Watery Glow Primer worth £31.50

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair worth £64.00

Estée Lauder DayWear Multi-Protection Anti-Oxidant Sheer Tint Release Moisturiser SPF 15 worth £49.00

I had never actually tried an Estée Lauder concealer before and honestly the same with their skincare, I had just never tried it! Obviously the foundation was up to its old tricks at being brilliant. I have a tendency to just put on a lot of foundation from my bad acne days whereas with this, it's really buildable and has great coverage even if you only put on a tiny bit. So versatile! I don't even wear the concealer every day but it gives a nice under eye brightener for the day I feel I need it, especially as I got the right shade for having it slightly lighter than the foundation.

The tinted moisturiser takes a good knack to get it right especially as it has a good colour to it, but as it does have SPF 15 it's good to put on underneath if you're only doing a light layer of foundation. I am obsessed with the primer, it gives a subtle glimmer and can obviously be worn with makeup or just with a clean face too!

And last but by absolutely no means least, the Advanced Night Repair serum. This is just luxury in a bottle! It feels so silky and so hydrating and smells so nice, I couldn't have had a better intro to the Estée Lauder skincare and back into the Double Wear gang!
