Relaxing Facials with Tropic Skincare

Day to day as women (and men), we use a multitude of products on our faces to cleanse or tone or moisturise or cover. We don't often get the time to actually sit down and really enjoy our skin and look after ourselves. I was actually in the Sun Seeker lounge at the Boat Show and met Angela who had a whole range of products with her from Tropic Skincare. They are cruelty free and vegan too, and although I am not vegan I do appreciate that it can be better for everyone and would choose vegan products over others on occasions. She showed me some of the wonderful things that Tropic offer and we got talking about how having beauty treatments isn't a thing people do often but really do help keep your skin and your spirit healthy and well.

"The Skin’s cells regenerate every 21 days, so it makes sense to have a Facial every 3 – 4 weeks to remove any build up of dead cells."

She kindly invited me down to her home where she has her studio for a Tropic Skin Facial! I was extremely excited as I had never had one before and it was something I'd always wanted to try. The room was so relaxing and she was beyond lovely, introducing me to so many products, including the Super Greens serum, talked about by the amazing Suranne Jones (actress in BBC Doctor Foster).

"For 10 years I owned my own Beauty/Holistic Salon in Whiteley but in 2008 decided that I enjoy the hand on therapies and I have been working from home in Park Gate since then. "

She talked me through the box set she would be using so I understood what each product was and why she was using it, to cleanse, exfoliate, clear and look after my skin. She also talked through the process so that there were no surprises and I felt comfortable with everything she was doing. I got cosy on the bed and put on the headband to keep my hair out of my eyes. It was all very relaxing and the spa music in the background made it a very serene setting. The facial was so cleansing, with the exfoliating mask and the hot cloth afterwards and the face massage. She also includes a shoulder, arm and hand massage too so you can really really get relaxed while your skin is being rejuvenated!

The whole experience lasted an hour and I have never smelt more fruity and fresh at the same time, as well as knowing that the natural products have been good for my skin. I really do think I will have to make more of a regular thing of this, and to visit Angela as she is already someone I am comfortable with.

The treatment for an hour, including the massage is only £40 and I think it's a wonderful thing to be able to treat yourself or someone else to, to take a little time out and relax. I can safely say I will be going back for more! You can also purchase the Tropic products from Angela as well and keep the natural feeling in your own home.

Thank you so much to Angela, and my skin is looking amazing! It felt great and hasn't been bad after the treatment, so it will definitely help remove damage from over the years when I visit more often.
